Hotel accommodation can be reserved as part of the registration process.
Several categories of accommodation have been reserved on behalf of Symposium delegates until Monday 19 April 2010. Accommodation will be allocated in order of receipt of bookings and payment and is subject to availability. Registration and payment are required before an accommodation booking will be made.
Accommodation Options
1. Hilton Melbourne South Wharf
Located in the heart of the new dynamic South Wharf entertainment precinct and shouldered by the Yarra River, the hotel has direct internal access to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. All rooms feature panoramic river, bay or city views. Enjoy opulently oversized bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, iPod connectivity and wireless internet.
2. Crown Metropol
Opening in 2010, Melbourne’s newest hotel provides the cornerstone to the Crown Entertainment Complex as well as sitting adjacent the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Each of the contemporary loft-style rooms offer amazing space and light. The hotel’s features Gordon Ramsay’s Maze restaurant, as well as an urban day spa retreat with a heated indoor infinity pool, vitality pools and a panoramic viewing deck.
3. Crowne Plaza Melbourne
Located on the banks of the Yarra River with undercover walkway access to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Recently refurbished guest rooms provide comfortable rooms with free morning newspaper, individually controlled air conditioning, 24 hour room service and express check-out.
4. Crown Promenade
Located in the heart of Melbourne's Southbank entertainment precinct, the hotel is directly linked to the Crown Entertainment Complex by airbridge. The hotel features spacious rooms with views overlooking the bay, CBD and Yarra River. The state of the art leisure facility - The Deck, features and indoor pool, two outdoor deck areas, steam rooms and gymnasium.
5. Medina Executive Northbank
The hotel is located in the CBD and only minutes from Southern Cross Railway Station. All one bedroom apartments feature a separate lounge area, fully equipped kitchen with oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer and fully equipped laundry. Other facilities include a heated swimming and lap pool as well as a state-of-the-art gym.
6. Vibe Savoy Melbourne
Located within an art deco heritage building, the hotel is opposite Southern Cross Railway Station and only a couple of blocks from the hub of Collins Street. All rooms include air conditioning with individual controls, broadband access and fax/modem connections. A gymnasium and valet parking is also available for hotel guests.
7. Travelodge Southbank Melbourne
All rooms have luxury healthcare beds, non allergenic pillows and 100% Australian Merino wool blankets. They also feature individually controlled air conditioning, ensuite bathroom with large well lit vanity mirror, kitchenette with microwave and tea & coffee making facilities, work table with PC data and powerpoints and telephone voice mail facilities.
Arrival time
Please indicate on your registration form your estimated time of arrival at the hotel. Check-in time is usually between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. If you wish to guarantee your room is ready before the hotel check-in time it is recommended that you book and pay for the room for the evening prior to your arrival. Failure to advise your arrival time if arriving after 6.00pm may mean that your room will be released.
Payment for accommodation
A credit card number is required at the time of booking which will be passed on to the hotel to guarantee your booking. The hotel may not initially deduct a deposit payment from your credit card but may charge you full payment at the time of check-out. Should you wish to pre-pay the full amount of your accommodation via cheque or direct deposit, please contact Expert Events for an invoice. Bookings are unable to be confirmed until your credit card details or payment are received.

Cancellations
Cancellations must be advised in writing to the Symposium Secretariat. The hotel may charge a cancellation fee of one night’s deposit if the reservation is cancelled after Monday 19 April 2010, or if the room is not occupied on the advised date of arrival.
